Even though I have always done all of the cooking at my house, it has never been an issue
why?
my hubby has always done:
all of the yard work
in his younger days he was our mechanic - changed the oil and winter tires, repaired most of the car problems
did all of the minor repairs needed on the house - I have boasted that there was never even a squeaky door in our house; he built shelves, fixed plumbing and electrical stuff
all by himself, he finished basements in our first two houses
he always vacuums and used to help a lot with the laundry and now does it all since he retired
I hate to iron.....so he has always done it (except when I didn't work then I did it)
he doesn't cook....but he is the best 'prep' guy in the kitchen
