Rick Santorum suspends campaign, endorses Rubio

Republican Rick Santorum suspended his 2016 presidential campaign Wednesday following a poor showing in the Iowa caucuses.

The former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania also endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida for the GOP nomination. He called Rubio a "born leader," saying he had an "optimistic" message.

Santorum first announced the decisions in a Fox News interview on Wednesday night.

Thank God for that! He should have done that much earlier, would have saved a lot of time during the debates.
