Two Tennessee teenagers died and several others have been injured after drinking a mixture of methanol—or racing fuel—and Mountain Dew. The Tennessee Poison Center at Vanderbilt University has reported four cases in the last week. “They thought they would get the same effects as alcohol, but they weren’t aware of how toxic it was,” a spokesperson for the department said. Methanol can cause symptoms including blurred vision, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea to seizures, blindness, coma, and death.

Oh my gosh, they drank fuel. Fuel for drag racing! It is a form of alcohol that is not edible at all and can only be used for automotive or industrial purposes. This is seriously scary, do teens today think anything and everything is edible? Is it time to ban even fuel to kids? I mean, I don't know...it seems like to help these teens, the only way is to remove all toxic substances out of their reach.

These dumb fucks are from  Tennessee , land of Moonshine and they are drinking Dewshine

Methanol isn't even drinkable anyways.

Ethanol is what people drink - moonshine is like 50% ethanol, beer is 7-8%. These guys could have simply made moonshine and lived to tell the tale.

How can one not be aware of the toxicity of drinking racing fuel????
