Veteran actress Sadhna passes away

Noted yesteryear star, Sadhana Shivdasani (74) passed away  earlier this morning. Noted for her exquisite beauty and her understated  acting, Sadhana came into the limelight with films like Love In Simla.  She was known especially for films like Mera Saaya, Parikh, Ek Musafir  ek Hasina, Woh Kaun Thi, Anita, inteqaam.

Fashionistas to date, fondly recall and ape her famous "sadhana fringe" and also the stylish tight churidaars she donned in Yash Chopra's Waqt, that continue to be a rage even now.

The gorgeous actress was born in 1941 and married filmmaker R K  Nayyar. It is said that at the peak of her career she was affected with  thyroid after which she largely retired from public life. She went on to  live the life of a recluse after her husband's demise in 1995.
