so my home owners insurance policy covers our wedding bands but my engagement ring i had to get a seperate rider for it....

however thats only for lost or stolen jewellery....

is there any insurance out there for jewellery if say one of the diamonds fall out?>  or the main stone of the ring?

Nargis....you should be able to get that type of insurance with the jeweller when you purchased the ring.

I have a life-time warranty from People's for my ring.....loose stone or if it falls off.

when we got married.....hubby was very poor Smile ....at 25 yrs old he had only been working for 2 years with Westinghouse and really could not afford any fancy/expensive rings.  I didn't care anyway.....I just wanted the guy!!  ;D
on our first anniversary in 1976 he got me my first diamond from Peoples......will be on warranty as long as the store is in business and as you said, they have been around forever.

in 2000, for our 25 anniversary, I got my big diamond (purchased in St Thomas), it was assessed at Canadian valud and included in with our home insurance.

I earned my rock!!  ;D
