I think for men it could be the lure of beautiful women or the thought of the time and also what benefits they will get out of it in the end different to the ones of old days who did it for the country, not themselves or tried to make a profit from it. In this modern world, people can get corrupted very easy and lured by money tp betray anyone which can make the work real easy and the freedom fighters can be destroyed if they are not united in their goal. Some people can be selfish or not thinking for the group and try and do things themselves, which can lead to bad results and will not work in the end and the enemy can be alerted to this.

Not enough drinks and women. It's always about the drinks and women.
