British singer Adele, who has taken the music world by storm, has one more reason to celebrate - after staying in a dingy flat, she has become the proud owner of 7-million-pound mansion in Sussex.

The 23-year-old's 10-bedroom, grade-II listed home has two swimming pools and is set on 25 acres of land, reports dailymail.co.uk.

Thanks to her success, she has paid off the mortgage on her first flat, which rose in value since she bought it.

Land registry documents show the star - brought up above a discount store in West Norwood, South London - has cleared the debt on her 380,000-pound flat in London's fashionable Notting Hill, which she bought in 2009.

Tottenham-born Adele, who made it big with her second album "21", has now set up her new home with her old Etonian boyfriend Simon Konecki, 36.

The sprawling estate in a prime West Sussex pasture also has tennis courts and a self-contained staff cottage.

How much use these facilities will receive remains to be seen, but there can be no mistaking the statement: Adele has very much arrived.

- cops hunt teenage suspect A 17-year-old schoolboy attending private lessons was stabbed to death at around 18:30 hrs yesterday during a bitter confrontation with another student over a girl.
Anfernee Bowman, of Lot 77 Robb Street, Bourda, was stabbed in the chest, abdomen and right thigh by an 18-year-old student shortly after he had left the popular ‘Mr. Patterson lessons’, in Aubrey Barker Street, South Ruimveldt, where he and the suspect were attending Maths classes.
