182 - 3 after 51 overs

England trail by 196 runs with 7 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

Stumps, day 2

#12
Bairstow dropped but Root edges on the next over and departs for 88. A big early wicket for Pakistan. Wahab has got his lines right this morning. England 206/4.

Jonny Bairstow gets a life. He edged it to Misbah, who claimed the catch at first slip. Umpire reviewed the catch and gave Bairstow not out. It could have gone either way. I think, if push comes to shove, I'd say that was not out also.

#14
And Stokes goes next over. Wahab has been brilliant this morning. England wobbling at 212/5. I'd sign up for a score of 320 right now.

#15
And another for Wahab. He has turned this game on its head. Buttler goes without scoring, and his struggles this year with the bat continue. England in a big hole now at 216/6.

#16
Oh dear, Rashid. What were you thinking? England giving wickets away now. It's all going wrong for them this morning. 218/7.

#17
Bairstow goes and England are in disarray.  ::dead::

#18
242 all out

Broad 15*

#19
222 - 3 after 61 overs

Younis 71*, Misbah 87*

Pakistan lead by 358 runs with 7 wickets remaining

Stumps - Day 3

I guess an experiment is worthy if the facts support a try.  but using Moeen as opener is nonsense and I don't see how the facts supported such experiment

the middle is where Moeen fits..at 5 and 6 with his useful off spin and his determined approach to crisis. Moeen does not have the temper or technique for opening the innings.  that is a waste of time and of a player

england must beat the bushes for a real opener. let them bring in Michael Carberry for christ sakes.... while they look for a younger more permanent solution.

jackass and dem...all of them.

and mek dem stop listening to Boycott with his stupid idea to make Moeen open the innings. total nonsense!  now that Moeen is wasted up top the backbone of the middle is gone and Pak runs right through their innings. good for them
