Corruption charges coming for Jagdeo …five ex-ministers of PPP

Authorities in New Jersey, USA have reported that 49-year-old Guyanese Phillip Amsterdam was shot dead at a nightclub. Amsterdam, once a minibus driver here, died Friday after being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, said Essex County Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Katherine Carter.
New Jersey media reported Police sources and neighbourhood residents as saying the shooting occurred outside of an after-hours social club located near the intersection of Madison Avenue and South 16th Street

Winston Brassington, the Chief Executive Officer of the government’s asset holding company NICIL, has been sent on immediate leave, and reports regarding his handling of the entity’s business are being sent to the Police and the Special Organised Crime Unit to determine criminality.Brassington’s deputy has also been sent on leave immediately.
Brassington two days ago washed his hands clean of any wrongdoing in his management of NICIL, but the administration appears unconvinced.
The announcement was made today at a Post-Cabinet news briefing.

Chair, I was wondering what took them so long to get at Winston? That said, Winston will run circles around these chaps. If he did anything wrong, I am all for him to get the appropriate penalty...however if he didn't, then these chaps will collectively look silly, or perhaps at this stage, more silly.
