And yet they want to see the West Indies team crowded with Trini players and even lead by a Trini. The only Trini cricketer I ever liked was the great Brian Charles Lara!
Quote:What annoyed Simmons the most was elements outside the selection panel, although he would not identify who forced the final vote.
"That's not the disappointing fact. The disappointing fact is that you can lose 3-2 in a vote-off but there is too much interference from outside in the selection of the ODI squad and it's disappointing for me to know that in any aspect of life … [people would use] their position to get people into a squad; or in this case, get people left out of a squad. It is wrong and I don't like it and that is my beef with the selection of the ODI team."
Bravo also averages 50 in tests when batting in positions 1 to 5.
Bravo has played 40 test matches. His average after 40 tests is similar to Gayle's average after 40 tests (average of 33), and Samuels' (average of 33) and Sarwan's after 40 tests (average 34). Unlike Sars, Samuels and Gayle, Bravo played no tours vs minnows. All these guys have 3 centuries vs non-minnows in those 40 tests.
