The New York Giants (0-1) try to rebound from last Sunday's debacle in Dallas this Sunday afternoon when they host the 1-0 Atlanta Falcons in their home opener at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Game time is 1 p.m. ET with the television broadcast on FOX.

The Falcons come in feeling good after a season-opening 26-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants, however, are 2.-5-point favorites at home in what amounts to a critical game for them. FiveThirtyEight uses its Elo Rating to give the Giants a 60 percent chance of winning the game.

I’m not sure if the Giants should be favorites for this game, they always play much better when they’re on the road. I’m kind of nervous, if they lose this game I can already sense an awful season and to me this is literally heartbreaking man.

Eli has to step it up as well as the rest of the offense. I also hope that today the offensive coordinator and Coughlin get it together because I don’t want to see more embarrassing stuff as last week against Dallas.
