The fact that wicketkeeper/batsman Denesh Ramdin resigned from the West Indies Players Association (WIPA)

may have cost him his job as captain of the West Indies Test team.

#3
Ramdin was one of the players who aborted the West Indies tour of India last October

over a payment structure dispute between WIPA and the WICB.

“The WICB sends out a press release stating that the directors of the board unanimously agreed to remove Ramdin

based on a recommendation from the selectors. Yet one of the directors Azim Bassarath comes out and says that he knew

nothing of this and is not supporting the move.

At the moment people are trying to fool the people of the Caribbean

and it is about time someone speaks the truth.”

So Ramdin was removed as captain because he left WIPA? I think the WICB were carrying feelings for him along with Bravo and Pollard because they were the senior players who had the most influence in the India walk out.

FORMER president of the West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) Dinanath Ramnarine has been described as :

hypocritical for his criticism of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB)  :-[

Ramnarine, who was replaced last year as WIPA president by Jamaican Wavell Hinds, told a local daily newspaper that he was

confused by the TTCB’s stance on the recent removal of wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin as captain

of the West Indies Test team ahead of their tour of Sri Lanka later this year.

Ramsaran, widely regarded as one of T&T best sports ministers said while Ramnarine is casting aspersions on the governance

of the TTCB, he is displaying the same undesirable qualities he seeks to condemn  Tongue
