Trinidad does billions of US dollars worth of food trade annually with countries other than Guyana.  Guyana does not even count.  Guyana is nothing comparable.  it can stop and no one would notice.

after the second european civil war in 1945 Britain emptied the west indies in its need for people.  up to the 1950's america emptied the world.  it is only Guyana that refuses to develop and implement a population program, that has lost population in all the years I have lived not increased.  Guyanese leave and go elsewhere rather than stay at home for the static backward reality that it is.  no Guyanese I have ever heard has accepted that their population must be increased..now, with plan and developmental purpose.  and iif it does not increase, and full occupation of the country takes place, allyuh are going to loose it all.  penny wise and pound foolish.

I never heard of a location not increasing that remained inviolate.  who need land will come in and take it all.  Guyana is defenseless and totally underpopulated.  in the end the real laws of nature always kick in..such as 'use it or lose it'
