what makes Test cricket so special, so great and so unique. Its continued existence is testament to its majesty, its ability to enthral, to enchant and to endure. Test cricket has refused to conform to the world around it and there’s something deeply admirable in that. And yet perhaps fatally, there is also something deeply flawed about it. Test cricket is a sport trapped within its own paradox. Five days makes Test cricket for what it is; five days breaks Test cricket for what is isn’t. Five days is beautiful says the poet. Five days is ugly says the businessman.
"refused to conform to the world"...like an Amish granny in horse and buggy. :o
"five days is [sic] beautiful"....says the 40 YOV :

"five days is ugly"...says cool beach stud on the go. ;D ;D ;D
