So the BBC today issued a report claiming that the commander of the Afghan taliban has been dead since 2-3years not but the fact has been kept well hidden.

I reckon they are viewed worthy as long as they are loyal to the gang and when they die in the name of them, then they are honored and viewed as a true comrade for dying for the cause which can be wrong at most times and brutal too. I wonder how they would survive in the cave as you would have to deal with wildlife and other animals or even rival enemies, who could find the hideout and with the guns these guys are holding looks like they enjoy fighting and showing their bravery. They would have technology as they would be able to contact other members of the group and tell them what to do and who to fight as well, and don't get tired of fighting and enjoy it mostly.
isn't the timing of the news being reported a bit off since US and Afghanistan just sat down for talks with the Taliban and after this the taliban canceled them and the war continues. Is the UK trying to disrupt the peace process and exit of US soldiers or what?
