Anyone knocking Haddin should Google his recent history and show some compassion. Real life v sport is a no contest!

Watson's replacement, Marsh, was widely touted to take the all-rounder's slot for the first Test following centuries in each of

Australia's two warmup games against Kent and Essex

Watson's record, just two 50+ scores in his last 16 outings, was an important factor in selector's choosing to give Marsh a go.
