This was West Indies' first win against England in 12 Tests.

Since 2000, this was only the third win for West Indies against England in 30 Tests.

England won 18 of those games.

[size=28px]2012[/size] The last time England were dismissed for a lower total than their second-innings score of 123.

Pakistan had bowled them out for 72 in Abu Dhabi. England's total in this match was also the eighth lowest by a visiting team

and their second lowest at this venue.

They were dismissed for 122 in their first innings in a Test in 1981.

[size=28px]2003[/size] The last time West Indies won a Test after making a sub-200 total in the first innings :

against Sri Lanka at Sabina Park.


Including this win against England, there have been only 13 such instances for West Indies.

In 2009 the Wondies actually held the Wisden trophy.  Only for Julian Ugly Man Skuunt to arrange a series a month after in cold na rass Hingland and hand the trophy back to the Poms. >

Did windies never eve get back the form they lost in the 90's..?
I mean over a decade and they still had something just a notch higher than a minnow would have.

Need consistent wins/draws here before Windies fans do the 'jump & wave' and start the hopeless 'we've turned de corner' not real belief !!!

Well I hope it doesn't take another 6 years for the West Indies to beat England. They seriously need to get a group of young players and stick to them and let us see how they do. Invest in developing the young players further and make sure they are mentally prepared as well.
