hey googs...its not magic I look for. I have just been into cricket for so long now I tend to know who is good and who is not.
Look at Holder moved the ball about last test..and no wickets. Charminder Vass would have taken 10....Glen McGrath 15..kapil Dev 13..Zaheer Khan quite a bit..and none of them were appreciably faster than Holder is.
what made them attacking bowlers and makes Holder a gentle impse ::confused::
you have to know the difference to be able to judge who is good and who is not. Holder has to use his mind to make the difference. he wont ever get as good as those but he can get better by smarts and hard work.
Holder has to develop his control of the ball, the ability to put the ball where ever he wants to, whenever he wants to, anytime of night or day. then he must at the same time develop his understanding of the batsmen he has to face time and again, and the conditions in which he has to face them and presto problem solved. look googs..after 5 years at the top do you see any indication at all that Holder is even starting to think like that ::confused::
look at him bowl. he drops the ball all over the place...he has no plan or method to his bowling, no consistency. look and see man..for yourself. all the days play for the 2 tests are there. go look at Holder and see if there is rhyme or riddim to it..that he has learned something and it works for him here and now. Holder bowls a good ball and stands up there nonplussed.he shud have go a wicket with that ball. he may bowl another decent one, but the next one is sh!t or 4444444.
the patter is here. he cant put 6 balls on a length to avoid getting hit for 444444. he cant keep batsmen down, shut down the scoring. he does not have bounce that troubles batsmen due to his height
who does all of that remind you of but Joel Garner. that's right. Holder can do none of those things...NONE! and he shows no signs of ever being able to.

Looking at Roach , Taylor and now Gabriel :
I rate Holder to take more wickets ...
As a matter of fact he took more than Roach in the 1st Test , eh ?

wat you talking about! : : : :
Holder cud do nutten at all with that dead pitch. the only man who did was Gabe.
the problem is in Holder's head. he is a nice bwoy..a university bwoy. we doh need dat type as a fast bowler. we need Sylvester Clarke and C Crofty and Joe-L Garner, Macco etc..not lil Jase

Rev, you sure about this? Here is a quote from a poster named Mapoui2!! ::LOL:: ::LOL::
Quote:mapoui2 » Mon Apr 13, 2015 10:21 pm from what I saw today lil Jase Holder is the best west Indian pacer but he is totally enthralled by beating batsmen and being hard-lucked..not in actually taking his wicket.
