I've always wondered why there hasn't been a strong student movement in Guyana which creates the environment and conditions for the emergence of a third party.  A third party consisting of young professionals, academics, intellectuals etc.

We've seen the impact of student movements in Arab countries.  The old dinosaurs from the PNC and PPP have stifled any sort of political, economic, and social progress in Guyana.  The people of Guyana have been condemned to this endless nauseating repeating groove of Burnham vs Cheddie and We vs. Them.  It's high time the young educated class did something about it. 

Or are they too lazy and indifferent?

@Snoops, laziness is rampant in Guyana.  Ketch is correct.  There is a minority of people who are working hard while the rest are just living off the "barrels" sent by family!

if you have gone to Guyana recently you will see 4 or more rum shops within a block!
