The coalition of A Partnership for National Unity+ Alliance for Change (APNU+AFC) is banking on an additional 10 percent vote that they think will afford them victory in the next two days when General and regional elections are held, but warned that its supporters would not take lightly to a fraudulent election.

A large number of guns were Friday afternoon seized at a city wharf by customs officers during the clearance of a barrel that was sent from the United States (US), Commissioner General of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) Kurshid Sattaur said.
A senior police officer told Demerara Waves Online News that the guns include two AK-47 assault rifles, several 9MM pistols and more than 100 rounds of ammunition.
The find was made about 2 PM at the La Parkan Wharf, Lombard Street, Georgetown by the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the GRA.
The detainee, who is unemployed, is said to be a resident of the lower East Coast Demerara.
Sattaur said the weapons and one suspect were handed over to the police, as part of an inter-agency cooperation.
