Quote:all the right words..the speech of a leader in waiting!  the kid's no fool.  his ambition is clear

I did not mean that he be appointed now..this minute... on what he has done so far.  what he has done so far is far from enough.  I was of the expectation they would let the kid develop, in the process of proving if he is worthy.

to make him captain now while removing Ramdin does not compute

such is life.  dat is why deh make minds dat can change.

what you though in a haze of excitement may not  be right in the long run.  it was not right to have been precipitous about lil Jase.  he is not ready..and we are not sure he can make it as a player at test level..certainly as a bowler.

A favor to Ramdin : he MUST improve his Batting.

Captaincy is burdensome ! Wink

There are 3 Glove men waiting in the Wings :the 2 Islanders and Jamaica opening Bats

plus Dowrich and Hope are also in the squad with Ramdin !

Holder needs to be modelled on Kallis.

Like Kallis, Holder can also be a workhorse bowler. He doesn't need to take wickets, or increase his speed, he just needs to keep the run rate down.

WI's big problem is Bravo and Samuels. The former has less shots every year, the latter suffers from chronic dumbassery.
