Quote:If the bowling of the home side could be called enthusiastic, their batting was little better than that of most ECB Premier League clubs.

The saddest fact was that the two batsmen who play regularly for the Leeward Islands were as agricultural as any, and did not have youth for an excuse as most of their teammates did.

The exception was a promising Nevisian U-19, Ross Powell, a young Chanderpaul without the fidgeting, who had to be dismissed properly.

What this arsewipe calls "fidgeting" is what is called "concentration".  Ask Steve Smith about it.

If Shiv isn't "fidgeting" he's not concentrating out there

As Scyld say:

"St Kitts XI all out for 59. The majority of ecb premier league teams would bat better, such is the decline in local standards in last decade"

England’s annihilation of a St Kitts Invitational XI in the first match of its West Indies tour was greeted with derision,

bemusement and downright disgust by the UK press !

The contempt for which it should be held was summed up by the fact England opened the bowling in their opponents’ second innings

with Liam Plunkett and Mark Wood :

two players who were not even in the original 12-man team for this game. Both bowled well, taking a wicket each against

opposition whose batting could be described as reckless, although even that is a wild understatement.
