yes the appointment of lil Jase was unfair..to Bravo and to the fan interest of west indies cricket generally, and a whole lot of other negative things that made/makes a potful of disaster for the west indies...and for lil Jase as well as Davis started to dig into.
in fact since I have looked at that situation in hindsight, there is not a single positive aspect to the appointment of lil Jase..and indeed just before the wurl skup. it skuppered all the planning and development that had gone on in prep for those games, reducing..even eliminating.. any chance west indies had of quality, flowing performances.
and it was a choice precipitated by desire to punish 2 players. just that Mail... a brutally atrocious decision if one is executing a responsibility they are charged with of a national representative nature. that was not the focus of that decision at all..simply to bell 2 players who stood up for their rights. the national representation was not a factor. the administration did not care about the responsibility they are/were charged with
