A BCCI statement on Sunday read: "The bowling review committee of BCCI comprising of Mr S Venkatraghavan, Mr Javagal Srinath and Mr AV Jayaprakash examined the bowling action of Mr Sunil Narine after he had undergone a biomechanical assessment at the ICC (International Cricket Council) accredited SRMC centre, Chennai.

"The committee concluded that Mr Sunil Narine, who had remodelled his bowling action, was within the ICC approved limits for all types of deliveries that were assessed and has hence recommended to the BCCI, that his name may be removed from the warning list of bowlers with suspect action.

"As a result, Mr Sunil Narine is now allowed to bowl in all BCCI tournaments."

BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur added: "I am happy that we will witness Sunil Narine in action in the Pepsi IPL 8, since he is now cleared by the BCCI committee.

"We look forward to the opening match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians on the 8th of April in Kolkata, which promises to provide an exciting start to the tournament."

So the BCCI compromised after all when the KKR threatened to pull out of the ipl should they that accept the icc report on Narine's action. It is all about money for the BCCI and as long as it is the ipl then they will do anything for money.

Even with narine present I don't think WI would have got beyond the qtr finals.

interesting that he was worried in the ICC tournament where he was never called but not in BCCI tournament who had been hounding him for some time now

Good to learn dat Narine's bowling action has been cleared for da forthcoming IPL. A shame he wasn't cleared prior to World Cup however Kolkata will breathe a sigh of relief. Good luck Narine, you show dem what da west Indies are missing and lacking in spin bowling.

#9
Wait, allyuh really think Narine was interested in playing in de world cup?

#10
Nope but it goes to show how them Indians control everything
