Stuart Broad has mentioned he's still getting nightmares about enduring a damaged nose while batting last summer season and is working with a sports psychologist to overcome the condition.Broad had surgical treatment to correct damage to his face after being slammed between the peak of the head protection and the grille by a short ball from India quick bowler Varun Arun in the third Test at Old Trafford. He donned a mask in the next match up at the Oval to shield the injury but the nightmares didn't start until after he had surgery on his knee in September.
Stuart Broad has confessed he's still having nightmares from shattered nose
Truly sad to learn that he is still impacted and like most respectable folks wish him well. In the aftermath of the sad death of Philip Hughes and the possible long term effects of Craig Kieswetter's injuries, these mishaps should never be made light of. No Matter What your opinion of Broad (he absolutely divides thoughts and opinions ); those who deride the bravery and courage of cricket players have clearly never encountereda delivery at 90mph+ ( by a bowler and not a bowling machine- there is a difference ). All players are entitled to respect for their valor, irrespective of their skill level.
Broad's batting performance against New Zealand, where he ran away from the ball, really seemed to indicate that he was not comfortable at the crease. He's not looked much better with the ball either.
Well now the fast bowlers know how to bowl to Broad. Pepper him with short balls that are aimed at his body and head. Keep your fear of the cricket ball to yourself otherwise you give your opponents ammunition to use against you.
Broad was very uncomfortable against Australia.
If you dish it out, as he did in his younger days, then be prepared to take it when it comes your way.

Am quite surprised that Broad disclosed this .......
