Thing is,

These end of faith authors are only human. They may reject belief in a doctrine, which is wise, but you still have to believe in something. And what I find with these gurus is that they believe in the way they are, which is sex minded and weak. So they reject all doctrines but believe in wild indulgence in sex and drugs.
