Corentyne man hangs self after chopping wife

A 58-year-old Number 19 Village, Corentyne man hanged himself around 15.00hrs yesterday after chopping his wife.
Police said that Deonarine Juianand was involved in an argument with his wife, Totmattie Juianand, 50, during which he is alleged to have chopped her about her body. She was admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital.
Police said that Juianand was later found hanging from the ceiling in his home.
