Someone on Facebook is pregnant and she is sharing her experiences. Do u actually go thru all this?
late pregnancy realizations:
1. Eating: 3 bites = full. Ten min later = starving. Repeat.
2. Made it to almost 36wks before feeling like a sausage and needing bigger panties.
3. Don't get in the tub for your coconut oil Epsom salt bath without first making sure ur OH hasn't fallen asleep (listening to your hypnobirth cd). You will be stuck in the tub with a dog staring at you for your cup of ice.
4. Lightening crotch is real. If this little girl headbutts my cervix one more time....
5. I'm really gonna miss sleeping sans clothes when baby comes.
6. Midwives are remarkable individuals.
7. You start asking ur OH things like "Do u remember when the last time I groomed my lady parts was" to figure out if you do it just one more time it'll last until birth.
8. Also furry unshaven legs are cool until your hair is so long it hurts.
9. Your dog may have more emotions than you.
10. Even as a doula, the more I hear about what women think is "normal" that goes on with their care providers, the more I know that homebirth is the only way I can see myself having a baby and am so grateful for my birth team who've supporting me every step of the way.
11. I did not eat a pint of ice cream in one sitting.
12. Ahhh, is that a stretch mark?
13. Nope can't see it. My belly is beautiful.
14. Of course I ate the chip I found in my sports bra trapped bet my belly and boobs. Also kinda sad my belly never got big enough to hold a plate.
15. Grandparents = "I am not getting you anything else...but do you still need this...wait here take this too".
16. Me putting on any article of clothing including socks = the dog knows either 1) Yes, she's finally getting out the bed or 2) Yes, I'm finally gonna get to go outside.
17. I didn't fart. The baby did.
18. When you get mad at your OH and say things like "Just wait till you get pregnant one day".
19. Omg a tiny human will soon be coming out of my vagina.
20. Pregnancy is the hardest most beautiful experience and even though I can't eat, sleep, breathe, walk, see my feet, put on shoes, bend over, roll over, stand, sit, laugh without peeing, it's still been the best 9 months of my life.
