It showed that the NOI was very arrogant and even less in touch and united with black people than the US government was, as their sexism, sex scandal, and brutal murder of Malcolm later turned out to prove. Black women in that movement felt as alienated as any enemy across lines and Malcolm himself was plagued by jealousy amongst the male members. And despite that, Malcolm's commentary was in total reflection on slavery and attacks on King, which was out of touch with reality and what King was faced with in the south as well as what was really going down in his own organization.
The NOI had no alliance amongst themselves or anybody else. [/size]
[size=1.35em]Both leaders were assassinated, but at least King was killed by a white man, and his death was not in vein. It lead to barriers being broke down for blacks in the south. In contrast to Malcolm whose death was in vein and totally for nothing. Because nothing about blacks changed in the north. They carried right on with their slothfulness and drugging, and Malcolm was brutally murdered by his own over pure nonsense.[/size]
[size=1.35em]Which is why in the end, before Malcolm went down, he rightfully apologized for all the awful things he said and came around to King's way of thinking. The only thing that the NOI accomplished was making a black cult leader rich. And all they're still accomplishing today.[/size]
[size=1.35em]Wrongful black men who are out for idolatry and glory will always impede the true progress of anybody who joins them. The NOI preached nothing but blaming and name calling, which is nothing but arrogant childish behavior. And King never did either. He called out truth without ever blaming or name calling. And got lasting results.[/size]

A child dishes out, but can never see taking it's own medicine.
So Malcolm spoke truth about them and their reaction was to kill him.
Well at least King died for something real, leading to betterment for people. While in NYC, all I saw was black men slumped over in public and passed out on park benches and stairwells and s***ted on themselves on dope, and black women selling themselves street walking when I was a little girl, which was long after Malcolm's murder.
