India launched its largest rocket yet along with an unmanned capsule that could carry heavier satellites and later send two to three astronauts into space. The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle successfully took off from the southern state of Andhra Pradesh early Thursday. The successful test flight signals India’s potential to become the world’s fourth country to send astronauts into space, further enhancing its emerging space program—it launched a satellite into orbit around Mars in September. “It is a very significant day in India’s space history,†said K Radhakrishnan, chairman of the Indian Space and Research Organization.

Good to see another developing nation embracing science and modernity with the launch of this rocket with a view to further space exploration. The Muslim nations on the other hand are launching another well armed suicide bomber. ::LOL::

Yes, India is very much a developing nation. And unsurprisingly you will find that most developing nations have disproportionate population of poor people. This isn't rocket science (pun intended). ::LOL::
And what of the Muslim countries run by religious theocracies? The evidence shows them hurriedly launching themselves back to the stone age one suicide bomber at a time. ::LOL::

Charities are for Hollywood celebrities to feel good about themselves. They actually do very little to alleviate the poor from their wretched condition.
Education, science, and a drive towards modernity on the other hand brought Europe out of the dark ages. And the dark age which is where the Muslim theocracies wish to take us back to if they had their way.
Developing technology to obliterate the human race is not progress. India is equally guilty of this stupidity. However at least India is looking at expanding it's horizons beyond the petty squabble with it's backward neighbour.
