I am sure you are smart enough to understand the quoted part. So why do you need an explanation?

Looks like Chattergoon got call up : hahahahaha  ::LOL::

Chanderpaul did not dominate games played for Guyana this year.  Indeed, it was Narsingh Deonarine who was going guns, yet, somewhat surprisingly, it was Sewnarine Chattergoon who was called up.  Leon Johnson, yet another Guyanese left-hander, could find himself under real pressure for his place.

Chattergoon, who replaced unavailable Darren Bravo, has played only three Tests: 122 runs, five innings, average 30.  He impressed recently on WI’s “A” team tour to Sri Lanka.

Imagine that Colin Croft and Guyana Newspaper editor do NOT know ;

Difference between Chattergoon and Fudadin.

Okay , so they play for the same Albion club  ::LOL::

Oh well : Mail does not co-relate the regional champions with WI XI debutants , either !

What is going on ? : Fuda has a Beard  ::LOL::

I think it is a combination of
1. Cohesiveness as a team as they have played a lot together.
2. A renewed confidence having International selection/s
3. The older guys, (Deo, Barnwell and Bishoo being consistent with Chandrika chipping in) and the younger guys (Beaton, Singh, Bramble and Reifer) all contributing.
4. Having two bowlers in the top 3 wicket takers and apparently Permy developing a doosra and more variations, bowling at good economy and SRs!
5. Like Jamaica when one fails someone steps up!
6. Trying to select their best team and leaving the Tage experiment to one side as he needs to earn his stripes, which he has yet to do!
7. Other teams missing several  key players… however this is at 7 for completeness and ranked last for a reason.

Apart from the unbelievable BIM disaster, thus far, their position so far is down to allround brilliant performance/s and it would be interesting to see how they progress in the other half of the season.

It is always good to see teams on the up as it is always beneficial to the bigger cause!

Well done Guyana!
