Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has won his appeal of an indefinite suspension and has been reinstated to the NFL.
Rice is now eligible to sign with any NFL team.
U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones, who heard Rice's appeal earlier this month, concluded in her decision, which was obtained by ESPN, that Rice did not lie or mislead NFL commissioner Roger Goodell
Whether Rice is entitled to back pay for game checks he missed during his suspension will be determined in a separate proceeding through the grievance filed against the Ravens by the NFLPA on behalf of Rice.
I do not like that man. However, I am pleased he won his appeal. The NFL is suppose to be a corporation. They are suppose to abide by rules and regulations. They do not have the right to arbitrarily change written legal agreements because there has been popular pressure to do so. Hooray for Ray Rice's rights to fair treatment and legally binding arbitration.
Well he actually did lie, because he said: "I take full responsibility for my actions, my wife can do no wrong." Which was a lie because that's not how he really felt nor did he stop beating his wife. He took no responsibility for anything. All he did was make a false statement for the sake of his career.
