The West Indies selectors also requested that fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell play for Jamaica

in the third round of the Professional Cricket League so that they :

"have an opportunity to evaluate his match readiness,"

the board said in a release.

Cottrell had returned from the A tour of Sri Lanka with a hamstring injury.

As a result, he will not leave for South Africa with the rest of the squad on November 30.
