Do Prayers really help?

A female  journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time.

        So she went to check it out. She went to the Western Wall and there he was, walking slowly up to the holy site.
        She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to leave, using a cane and moving very slowly, she approached him for an interview.
        "Pardon me, sir, what's your name?"
        "Morris Feinberg," he replied.
        "Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall and praying?"

        "For about 60 years."
        "60 years! That's amazing! What do you pray for?"

        "I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews and the Muslims."
        "I pray for all the wars and all the hatred to stop."
        "I pray for all our children to grow up safely as responsible adults and to love their fellow man."
        "I pray that politicians tell us the truth and put the interests of the people ahead of their own interests."

        "How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?"

        "Like I'm talking to a fucking wall"

From a spiritual perspective, everything is energy, even something as dense as a 1 dimensional wall. If someone is projecting their energy and emotions onto this wall, then that energy is absorbed. Where it goes, we will know for certain one day, as the laws of physics can be easily contradicted. I believe those prayers may have been absorbed in the dense energy of the wall and redirected into the universe. So, someone must have heard those prayers. If everyone were on that same wave-length and prayed into walls, trees, the skies and each other, imagine the intensity that energy would produce? Perhaps something would change at that point. I dunno...

I think that what you pray for matters.


We can pray for world betterment but such prayers will change nothing because we can't have change that we didn't work to produce. We can only have a result to what we actually done. So such a prayer doesn't change a person from within and doesn't change the world from without. But a prayer for personal change may actually be heard and granted. Though a change in ourselves will still require work.

Prayers have helped me over the years, along with trying on my own to get what I want as well. I'll never stop praying though, always keep the faith.

Of course prayer works!  It's why we have been able to eliminate and banish hospitals and doctors forever! 8)

The Gods do not listen to prayers that are against their laws.

I do think that prayers help. It is just another name for "The Law Of Attraction". "Whatever you think about, you bring about". Whatever you say, comes true. If you are "praying" asking for something that you really want, it will eventually come into your reality.

It's just how the universe works. Some call it prayer, and some call it the force or the law of attraction etc. whatever you decide to call it, it's the same thing. Same energy.

I have read amazing stories about people whose prayers have manifested. I have been amazed. Sometimes it doesn't work, and I think that's because there is doubt. If you are asking for something and you are doubting it at the same time, it creates a friction. It's like a tug of war. Which ever thought is stronger, will be the winner. Or If you believe it more than you doubt it, then it will come into your reality.

So yes, I do think that prayer
Helps, but no doubting. And if you don't doubt and it still doesn't work, then take it. Accept it, because every happens for a reason. I truly believe in that saying, wholeheartedly.

Prayer (talking to oneself) helps as much as saying "Abra Cadabra" and "Hocus Pocus" over and over again. 8)

Prayers help ME!
I pray for others. I pray for peace. I pray that gun deaths would stop in my neighborhood. I pray for children. I especially pray they remain safe from violence, house fires, shootings, evil parents, drugs, and racism. I pray that wars would cease.

Even though I fell as though I'm talking to a wall, I believe GOD hears all prayers. I believe one day He will answer all prayers for peace. I know He will work in His own time frame, and not on my time line. I believe in Him!
