They engineered the destruction of the tour to India knowing full well they could continue playing in the IPL. And now we find out they are headed to South Africa in November---the same time the test series was to be played.

Correct.  So they would have been free to play in the SA T20's anyways.  So it's questionable whether the SA T20 tournament was a motive for Bravo and Pollard to strike on this Indian Tour.
