As you know I am not Samuels fan. He does not present himself well, in fact he comes across quite arrogant and aggressive, but one has to be objective.

He is entitled to his personal view and you can see why he feel disenfranchised with the WIPA.

There is a logic to his point apropos complete the tour but at the same time, the players requested a conversation with Cameron who could have travelled to India to alleviate the situation but the arrogance of the WICB, and in fact most editions of the WICB, has lead to this.

The WICB negotiates with the WIPA but, as employers, they have a responsibility to engage with their employees which they failed to do. As President, Cameron, with his CEO should appreciate the bigger picture and whether Cameron called off the tour or the players walked out the bigger picture should have made him travel to India to quell anxieties. 

I was fully supportive of the players coming home, given the WICB called off the tour, but perhaps the tour should have continued and then get the issues resolved before South Africa.

There seemed to have been a lot of deceit on the part of both the WIPA and WICB respectively.

Whay is that DECEIT?

What exactly are they investing?

Sad to say, but I suspect if there were a couple of Guyanese lads benefiting, this conversation would not be taking place.

The ECB is able to pay its contracted players £700,000 to have an England first policy. These lads have the opportunity to also have endorsements so the ECB contracted players earn well above  £1m per annum without the IPL and other T20 tournaments. This is a different situation.

All players ply their trade and as contracted players if they play abroad their Boards, including the WICB, get compensated.

Bravo, Russell, Pollard and Sammy are not test players so there may not be any obligation for them to play in the Domestic 4 day competition which starts November 14th. Ram Jam starts Nov 2 and by the time they are finished in SA, finals Dec 12th, the first class season in the Windies will be suspended for 2 months anyway. Not sure if the 50 overs competition then kicks in so these players can play leading up to the World Cup which commences Feb 14th.

Players make themselves available for International duties and if the selectors select them they play.

I genuinely do not see what all the fuss is all about. If these players were vying for Test spots then I could understand them having to play in the domestic FC competition as is the case with Gayle.

Lets us remember Windian internationals missing part of the season is not new as, in the past, county payers did miss some FC games.

During the Ram Jam Jamaica play 4, T&T 2 games etc.

I think Marlon only made that statement because he was the leading runs scorer -- like he was all about concentrating on his batting while everyone else focused on the conflict.
