The question you should be asking yourself is why didn't Cameron speak to the players and allay their concerns? Concerns they should not have had in the first place. Cameron was probably gambling on the players carrying on ....
Why are you not focussing on the cause rather than the effect? The cause is long gone ... the effect is here in the present and come to think of it ... so is the cause still.
It is for the WICB to have thought about the fallout, the bigger picture as without players, there is no WICB. This does not mean the players can be bullies.... Cameron obviously didn't reckon on the players calling his bluff. Also seems he was somewhat naïve in thinking that the BCCI would accept a second string team.
It is about time the WICB stop its incompetent management and real changes are made which I hope the ICC and BCCI force.
Get Cameron and the CEO, whose name eludes me for his absence, out for starters. Muirhead.... and if they haven't resigned by now ... I doubt if they ever will.
Would you see it cutting you nose to spoil your face if you were faced with such a pay cut without knowledge? They obviously didn't think it through Mail. Simplistic as this may sound ... if you have a dispute with your employers ... you don't burn down the workplace !!
