BRAMPTON – After more than four hours of battle, Brampton firefighters have gained control of a blaze on Braidwood Lake Rd. in the Loafer's Lake area.

Peel police told The Guardian that fire is now under control and neighbours can go back to their homes. For precautionary measures, fire crews will still be on the scene for sometime.

Earlier, the neighbourhood was evacuated as a precaution when a fire broke out at a house at 120 Braidwood Lake Rd Tuesday afternoon at around 4:15 p.m.

The fire started from a three-car garage but later engulfed the whole house.

Police say the fire was contained to one home and no injuries have been reported.

Peel Police and Paramedics were also on the scene to cope with any untoward incident.
