Quote:West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has decided to withdraw offspinner Sunil Narine from the entire India tour. A WICB spokesperson confirmed to ESPNCricinfo that Narine was being called back home after the CLT20 banned him from bowling having called his action illegal.
Good move by the WICB to withdraw Narine. The BCCI is trying to get him banned before the world cup next year and so having him play in India will only result in the umpires reporting him. India's cricket board is trying to win the world cup by getting rid of the opposition best players. Samuels better watch himself if he bowls there.
Quote: Clive Lloyd, the chairman of the West Indies selection panel, has questioned the Champions League T20's decision to ban Sunil Narine, highlighting that the offspinner had bowled around the world for years without being reported. Narine was suspended from bowling in the CLT20 on Thursday, and he was later withdrawn by the West Indies board from the India series starting this week.
Lamenting the timing of the suspension, "just before an important series against India and the World Cup that follows", Lloyd said he was surprised by questions over the legality of Narine's action.
"He has been bowling over the years with the same sort of action. Now all of a sudden it has changed. What has changed, I don't know," Lloyd said on Friday, at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, where West Indies played a warm-up game. Lloyd made his comments before the decision to withdraw Narine had been taken. "You can't just ban him from bowling just before an important tour like this and with the World Cup coming up. It destroys the individual's ability as such and I think you may end up destroying someone's career. "
It can destroy a team. You want to know if this is being orchestrated because if you lose your main bowler then it puts some pressure on the selectors and the team Clive Lloyd
Narine has been the stand-out performer for Kolkata Knight Riders in recent seasons, guiding them to two IPL titles in three years. "This guy has been doing well playing for KKR for the last three years," Lloyd said. "If you look at his action, he has been doing pretty much the same and I want to know what is it that has been found that they ban him and not say something like, 'Listen, you have a bit of a problem and you have to rectify it.'"
This is a ploy by India, Australia and England to destroy the top spinners from other countries...... Pakistan, Sri Lanka and now West Indies.
This game is dominated by the 'modern' batsman and for a spinner to wrap rings around them is not acceptable. He's guilty and banned without even having his bowling action scientifically tested....oh no, that was done by the on field umpires and the dark forces behind this ploy.
The ICC is a joke.
round arm! round arm! round arm! taht is what is emblazoned in the rules of cricket. dont chuck! chucking ir wrong.
round arm is no secret guarded tightly in the vaults at ICC. it is open public knowldge in the game. that is how we must prepare from young all the way to the top. most bowlers are round arm. why must the game be changed for a few players..rules amended to allow a fundamental change in the game driven by chuckers ::confused::
there is no other motive about..no technological change, environmental change, no biological change that produces people with bent arms that cannot be straightened like Murali. so why in the hell must a basic rule be changed just for a few bowlers ::confused:: ::confused::
it makes no sense at all changing the rules just so. this is no evolution of the game that is proper..just a few illegals skunts who refuse to go under the work required to revolutionize their own bowling . we must revolutionize the game for them.
screw all ah dem..every las' skunt one ah dem...including my bwoy Narine if it has to be. I admit Narine looks pretty bad and I don't know if he can be corrected at all. so be it then. toss them all and go to the schools and playgrounds make sure the kids know how to bowl from early.
that's the answer.. Ajmal, Ashwin, Shilly, this one and that one...Samuels, Cooper...all of then knew how to bowl from the start. it was not rocket science or ancient chinese secret. it was just slackness on everybody part to let them get this far. they knew and what they do amounts to cheating. so what... we reward them now for cheating with a rule change ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused::
and in fact they are all off spinners as ketchim already noted.
ALL THE FREAKING CHUCKERS ARE OFF SPINNERS DOING ILLEGAL THINGS > > >
back in the day we had Ramadin, Gibbs, Laker, Mallet, and so on.. we had Swann recently. none were chuckers.
the great old english left armer Tony Lock was a pelter. but they forced him to remodel his entire action rather than contemplate a rule change. so who who are these bozos now we must change the game for ::confused::
OFF SPIN CAN BE A LEGAL TRADE BUT THOSE GUYS MUST PRACTICE THEIR TRADE LEGALLY OR GO DO SOEMTHNG ELSE FOR A LIVING!
