Aurum Press signs Ambrose cricketing memoir

Aurum Press has acquired the autobiography of Sir Curtly Ambrose, to be published in time for England's spring 2015 tour of the West Indies.

Ambrose played in 98 tests and 176 One Day Internationals for the West Indies, becoming known as one the greatest fast bowlers of all time.

The autobiography will overturn Ambrose's notorious media silence, which was epitomised with his frequent words: "Curtly talks to no one". It will be ghost written by Richard Sydenham, and feature an introduction from cricket commentator Richie Benaud OBE.

World English language rights in the book were signed by Robin Harvie from Robyn Drury of Diane Banks Associates Ltd.
