Ketchim,

You do not expose a 17 and 18 year old to Test level when they have not achieved anything. It is more likely this will do more damage than good, in my view.

what happen to Beaton

Exactly, Cappo : Would like to see all these Fringe and Youth as we prepare for WC 2015.

Because it is my contention that the current ODI XI :

will get a thrashing Down Under in 2015 ...

Anyone whom think otherwise need to seek psychiatric Help !  ::LOL::

How DARE these "non exceptional" YOUTH beat up Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Windwards, Leewards  >Sad

The Brian Sattuar led team played unbeaten in both formats and could provided a stern test

for their much more senior counterparts as they replace the President’s X1 :

as the fourth team in the competition in what must be seen as a wonderful developmental

plan by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB  :-*

For the teenagers to rub shoulders with their more experienced players, many of whom

would have played at the Test and First-Class levels.

The Under-19 unit, which includes First-Class players Taignarine Chanderpaul

and Shemron Hetmyer, has the ability to beat the County teams,

especially in the limited overs version.  8)

Tomorrow Thursday at Everest they will make history by becoming the first National team

to play in this tournament when they face a powerful Berbice line-up : Wink

even without Test players Devendra Bishoo and Assad Fudadin

who will be unavailable due to West Indies ‘A’ duties.

Essequibo face-off with home team Demerara :

who will be without National Captain Leon Johnson but could still prove too strong

for the lads from the Cinderella County which plays the least amount of competitive cricket

among the three counties !!
