Clive Lloyd Wants New Mentality in West Indies Team

Georgetown, Guyana: Newly appointed chairman of selectors, Clive Lloyd, wants to see improvement in batting in the West Indies team and believes this can only be achieved by players adopting a more studied approach to the game.

like i said earlier, you will hear plenty of talk from the big pus$y.  Nothing else.

talk is cheap, Clive...lets see who you pick in your team! 

Poor Clive, I would not want to be in his shoes. Don't know where he is gong to find the batsmen he is talking about because talent is a key ingredient and there is none here in the West Indies. The region needs better coaching from these kids are little. Also Gibson must go..he is no coach..

Good move to get rid of the current selectors and getting actual crickers to select the teams. I agree with Lloyd about the players getting a new mentality. How can you be bowled out twice in a test match in two and a half days?

To me Lloyd is the overall greatest West Indies cricketing legend of all time. It is under his leadership that  the W.I. game rocketed to  the forefront of the sport. However it is getting very OLD to hear bluffs about WI dominating world cricket again with every little achievement. The first thing you hear If WI happen to win even a single test match, is "getting back to the top". And every time it seems only flattery to deceive. DO THE HARD WORK first ,  WIN, then  BRAG
