Tony Blair has insisted he is worth less than £20 million and is not motivated by money.

The former Prime Minister, who has spent the seven years since he left Downing Street building a global network of business and charity ventures stretching from China to Africa to Latin America, insisted his personal wealth is less than one-fifth of the £100 million that has been reported.

However, Tony and Cherie Blair’s property empire alone – which includes a Buckinghamshire mansion and six London houses – is now thought to be worth more than £25 million. The couple have benefited from the capital’s booming top-end property market.

Time for the bloody handed liar to compensate his victims?

I'm worth less than £20M. But it is such a meaniningless statement. I would have had to have worked for over 600 years to even approach those kind of riches.
Mr Blair is a convert to Roman Catholicism. Well as an undoubtedly rich man he will need all the grace he can get to pass in to heaven.

I wonder how many investments in shares and property are owned by the other members of the family

Blair was cashing-in before he left office, but sadly the evidence fell into the shredder, completely accidentally, and no-one else has a copy of his mortgage application for his constituency home used to raise a deposit for a five-storey Grade II-listed Georgian town house in London whilst he was residing in Downing Street.

If Bliar told me that the sky was blue I would seriously consider getting my eyes checked. The man, amongst other things, is a pathological liar.
