Matt Prior has announced that he will voluntarily step down from England duty for the rest of the summer.

Prior is not retiring from cricket but accepts that his decision may signal the end of his international career after 79 Tests for England over the course of seven years.

I would like to see Jos Buttler given the opportunity. I was in favour of him playing over Prior at the start of the summer. Now that Prior has stepped down I think its time to see what Buttler can do at the Test level. He has been in pretty good form for Lancashire as of late with an average of 40 in first class matches. All the recent reports I have seen indicated that Buttler is showing signs of improvement behind the stumps.

I agree. Unfortunately, Jos Buttler has quickly become one of my favourite players to watch and so I am biased in wanting to see what he can do at the Test level.

Look I aint know or care if Bairstow is better. What I am saying is that based on a couple of reports Buttler will get selected.

So leh we see if the selectos are in tune with your "Johnny is better"
