India's preparation for the start of this England tour reached its final stage when they returned to the field three days before the Trent Bridge Test. Having played two - albeit low intensity - three-day tour games, India took a two-day break from cricket activity, and made their first visit to Trent Bridge on Sunday. Five bowler strategy has almost NEVER worked for India. There are not so much great bowlers in their side. Just gotta pick your 3 best pacers+1 spinner and go with it. I guess they do have the advantage of Ashwin/Jadeja being allrounders tho
Using five bowlers would be a foolish strategy for Indians. The success of the series is really depends on the batsmen. If they bat well then India can put an upper hand in this tour.
We need an all-rounder at 7, so it has to be either Jadeja or Binny and Binny is the better choice at the moment,looking at the wickets.If its a 5 bowler strategy i do not want ishant playing,he will often deliver no balls and hit me deliveries.He needs to get his rhythm back.

Agree with your XI. Although maybe play Jadeja instead of Aaron. You need 2 spinners IMO. Binny is more than handy medium pacer so he can fill in for 3rd pacer.

Actually no,i do want jadeja playing there, but it ain't feasible because you need a fiery bowler on such track. England is place spinners dread to bowl on, so yes 3+1+1 should be great.Binny/Jadeja,either one can do the job.
