Kevin Pietersen: Andrew Strauss apologises after offensive remark

Andrew Strauss has apologised after he made a offensive remark about Kevin Pietersen during a live broadcast.

The former England captain was commentating for Sky Sports on the MCC v Rest of the World match at Lord's when he made the remark to Nick Knight.

Sky were on a break but viewers of Fox Sports in Australia, who take Sky's commentary, heard the exchange.

"I apologise unreservedly, particularly to Kevin Pietersen. I am mortified and profusely sorry," Strauss said.

In an earlier statement, Sky apologised for the "language used" by Strauss.

Him would not have been in trouble had he describe Peterson as a prick or a dick  or even an asshole but cunt is a no ,no 

English cricket and sports in general always makes me laugh. England and the English press are always quick to pick out players and call them the best in the world but whenever the team loses then suddenly you are not good enough. They blame Pietersen for their ashes defeat and obviously many still carry a judge like Mr Andrew Strauss.

Strauss has clarified what he  meant. He  was going to say that Peterson was a pussy  as in cowardice and somehow he got the slang for the female genitalia confused.
