* Did you also know that only 6 batsmen in history have scored 6000+ runs at HOME---Ponting(7578), Tendulkar(7216), Kallis, Jayawardene, Lara(6217) and Sangakkara.

* In 65 tests at HOME Lara scored 6217 runs at an average of 58.65 with 17 100s and 26 50s

* In his last 5 tests Shiv has scored 411 runs at an average of 68.50 with 1 100 and 2 50s

* And in his last 3 calendar years(2012-2014) Shiv has played in 18 tests---he has scored 1665 runs at an average of 79.28 with 5 100s and 7 50s

To answer your question Mail---Shiv's career is not close to an end----infact it would have been Bradmanesque had he not been getting out foolishly.
