as a matter of fact I think all of west indian society..our west indian society.. is dying.ย  we are totally failed in the world over the past 50 years of so-called independence, mired in debt, full of unemployment and under employment, backward with little to no infrastructure..and where we have some it is in mostly bad repair.

only Trinidad has money and it is being badly mis-managed in the interest of forriners.

all west indian central banks are owned by international bankers who use the regional currencies to bleed the region.ย

all west indian territories have very poor health facilities that impoverished nationals have to pay for.ย  there is little to no socialized health care

and on top of that we have amazingly high rates of reproductive infertility..plus behaviours that contribute to ill health and early death like skin whitening.ย  add to that the fact that most all food consumed in the region is imported from the USA and that that food is toxic, full of GMO and pesticide poisons.

there seem little chance of west indian survival unless there is rapid revolutionary change.ย  that seems quite unlikely.ย

the west indies then is a dying society and there is little hope of resurgence in anything we we do, far less in our cricket fortunes.ย  as such the way we are losing at cricket is surely a reflection of our dying status as a people.

the cricket we play appears to suggest that we have given up in the face of what may be insurmountable problems, thrown up our hands and accepted the inevitable...that we are toast, finished and done.ย

stick we with ah fork! Sad

Some will tell you that all WI cricket team needs is Shiv, Ramdin, Deo, Sunil, Permaul, Rampaul and 5 more and then all will be well

#34
Oh and we need Shiv playing long enough to overtake Lara and be hailed as West Indies greatest ever test batsman.

#35
in about 50..70-100 years there will be no west indians to hail anyone with a west indian pedigree relative to the life we have lived up to now Sad

this is a situation I would like to be part of cleaning up.

I am dropping almost all of them....Powell, Edwards, Samuels and lil Bravo..lil Bravo in particular..never to be seen again..he and lil Barath..2 of the most ridiculous young prospects west indies ever produced

and mister Marlon Samuels...what worst can be said of him

Kirk Edwards and Kieron Powell are simply no good at all and should not be anywhere near a west indies side

Calm down brother.

You hve the give the youngsters a chance.

Gayle was an abject failure for most of his100 tests and then came good. Samuels has always been piss poor. The chap looked an abject dunce.

The dismissals, of all you propose to drop, were soft but give them this series. I would not have chosen Powell to begin with but if you show faith in him then stick with him for this series. He did fight very well in the first innings.

My test team for QPO will be

1.ย  ย  Brathwaite
2.ย  ย  Gayle
3.ย  ย  Lil Bravo
4.ย  ย  Edwards
5.ย  ย  The Master
6.ย  ย  Deonarine
7.ย  ย  Ramdin
8.ย  ย  Holder
9.ย  ย  Shillingford
10.ย  Benn
11.ย  Taylor

I am no great Deonarine fan as I think he did well and then let himself down in NZ but I will put that down to turmoil in the camp. He isย  good bat and can nich a wicket or two with his tight off pin.

Personally I would have Bishoo in for Shilly but I think Shilly has done just enough to retain his spot altough he looks ordinary without the Doosra in his armoury. After my trip to Bangldesh for the T20, I saw Bishoo bowl really well andhe is no mug with the bat. Fact is Bishoo was over bowled. That said I do not think he is in the equation for now.ย

Well there is no arguing with that!!

I would expect a spinner to be capable of bowling 25 to 30 overs on average per innings and Bishoo is within that range.
