Flintoff comeback plans quicken

May 13, 2014: Andrew Flintoff's plans for a remarkable comeback nearly five years after his career seemed over because of injury are moving closer with his secret talks with Lancashire at an "advanced stage".

More hype than substance?

Lancashire must be mad or Flintoff need the cash.

I suppose if is T20 he only 36 - he should be able to get through 4 overs and lash a few sixes.

#4
a comeback on a pedalo?

Freddie should not be short of a few pennies as he does a lot of TV including panel shows and survival documentaries, including one that lead up to his boxing contest. He recently did a documentary cycling through the Amazon.

I think we are trying to relaunch the T20 tournament so some hype and big names will generate more interest.

Wow, seriously?
If it's T20, then great. I wouldn't mind seeing Freddie back in domestic T20s. I mean it's meaningless fun anyway, what the hell. Although I'm with Mail, more hype than substance, IMO.

Well, only time will tell if he actually comes back. Will he be the same sharp Flintoff we saw five years ago/ I don;t think so.

It would be a surprise,if he is given the nod to take the field.I doubt his cricketing fitness now and nevertheless i just hope his return doesn't become a travesty.Anyways, since he is coming out of retirement, welcome back freddie
