Stephen Fleming, the Chennai Super Kings coach, has admitted to there being a lot of off-field "distractions" for his team to cope with this IPL season. He experienced anxious moments in the lead up to the tournament as the courts decided on whether to suspend the franchise, he said, but now that the team is back together, the nerves are steadying.

"There's a lot going on, I won't lie," Fleming said in Dubai on Monday. "There are a lot of distractions. [Leading up to the tournament] I think we were all uncertain about how it was going to play out.

Yeah calling allegations of corruption as "distraction" lol.
Anywho, lets see. They have a strong side.

Still, the most wonderful part is ..they manage to win despite all this distractions and that is what is making me feel special for supporting this team. The crux of the team has been the same for nearly 7 years and they have adapted brilliantly to this format.Hope, they excel this year too.

I live in Chennai. CSK is one of the best sides in the IPL, if not the best. It is definitely the most consistent, by far. I don't think too high of the IPL as a tournament though. It is by no means representative of the talent in world or Indian cricket. It is a league of the fixers. The IPL seems to care about money than cricket. If they really cared for the game, they would have larger outfields.
